WWI Stories – Bertram Alfred Laurie

Kerry Kirk shares the story of her grandmother’s brother, Bertram Alfred Laurie.

Bertram Alfred Laurie was born in Victoria in 1894 to John Walter Laurie and Phoebe Josephine Priest. He enlisted to serve in World War One as part of the 15th Battalion. He died during the Dardanelles campaign on 30 April, 1915, and is laid to rest at Quinn’s Post Cemetery, row A, grave four.
