Over a century ago, Australia’s sons and daughters were called upon to serve their country.  From the largest cities to the smallest towns, they came to answer the call. They boarded ships and crossed the seas, bound for lands unknown. Each had a unique story.

The Victorian Government’s Anzac Centenary program (2014 – 2018) honours the legacy of our servicemen and women, past and present.  By protecting these precious memories, we prove worthy of their sacrifice.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Anzac Centenary website. This valuable resource captures our own unique history and encourages each and every Victorian to find out more about this defining period in the history of our state and our world.

Lest we forget.

The Hon Daniel Andrews MP

Premier of Victoria
